our team

Zsófia Szemerédy
Founder, Managing Director / Sustainability Manager
Zsófia started working in film and TV before reaching her twenties. Always striving for freedom and creativity, she became a freelancer and entrepreneur early on. Her career began in the UK film industry, where she worked with BAFTA albert, eOne, Premier PR, and Picturehouse Entertainment, gaining insight into nearly every aspect of the film chain, from PR and sales to script development and festival strategy.
After completing her master’s degree at the prestigious National Film and Television School, she discovered her passion: merging storytelling and filmmaking with sustainability. She later co-founded Green Eyes Production (2021–2025) and launched the successful Indie Film Distribution Summit, building on her experience across both mainstream and independent sectors.
Zsófia’s unwavering dedication to film fuels (with clean energy) her problem-solving mindset and her mission to harmonise sustainability with the cinematic world. She avidly explores sci-fi, drawn to its (un)sustainable future scenarios, historical dramas, and fantasy. Working across the UK and European film industries, she is most often found discussing stories over coffee in London or Budapest.
Zsófia Szemerédy has worked as a sustainability manager and consultant on a range of projects, including Alien: Romulus, Hijack, Lee, Poor Things, Dune: Prophecy, Moon Knight, Jack Ryan, and more.

Margot Maritz
Project & Marketing Manager
Margot is a South African filmmaker, content creator, and sustainability advocate with a flair for creativity and a heart for the planet. With a master’s degree in film, production design, and sustainability, she’s on a mission to mix her love for film with her passion for the environment, because who says saving the planet can’t be cool?
From capturing the beauty of nature in all its forms to reviewing films through a sustainable lens, Margot dives into how the industry can be greener. But wait, there’s more! She’s also an eco-cosplay wizard, crafting jaw-dropping costumes from upcycled materials that prove style can be sustainable. Whether behind the camera or in costume, Margot is all about telling stories that spark change, spread love, and inspire others to make the world a more sustainable and loving place.
Speaking of stories, when it comes to her favourite film, it has to be Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, where the epic world of ornithopters, stillsuits, and spice takes centre stage.

Stephanie Shires
Sustainability & Project Manager
Coming from a production background, Stephanie has a well-rounded understanding of the everyday issues faced by crews. She is constantly striving to find sustainable solutions that work for both the planet and the production, whilst maintaining a person-centred approach to her role.
When not at work, she can usually be found in her art studio creating nature-inspired illustrations, or relaxing on the sofa re-watching her favourite film, The Blues Brothers, alongside her best friend - Annie the cat!
Yorkshire born and bred, Stephanie currently lives in rural Somerset and is based at The Old Church School in Frome - but she can often be found travelling around the UK (via train, of course!) to visit our productions in person.

Tereza Walker
Operations Coordinator
Tereza is a creative thinker with a passion for people-centred storytelling and conscious filmmaking. With an academic background in International Relations, she brings a global perspective and empathetic approach to her work, and is especially drawn to projects that connect creativity with positive social impact.
She enjoys collaborative environments and supporting initiatives that empower others - most notably through her involvement in a self-defence programme for young women, which strengthened her belief in inclusive, human-focused spaces. She is motivated by the idea that storytelling and production can be both meaningful and mindful, helping create environments that care for people as much as the process. When she’s not at work, her favourite creative outlet is cooking, where she loves experimenting with flavours and turning meals into shared experiences.
Her all-time favourite film is The Imitation Game, while The Devil Wears Prada remains her not-so-guilty pleasure - reflecting her appreciation for stories about ambition, growth, and finding your voice.

Annie the Cat
Head of Morale
Annie hails from the county of Somerset and is always on hand to provide morale to the Leverage Point team (via cute pictures and reluctant cuddles).
Her favourite film is the Alfred Hitchcock classic ‘The Birds’ and her favourite treat is a delicious chicken-flavoured yoghurt.

Zsófia Bujáki
Sales Coordinator
Zsófi is a filmmaker, producer, and entrepreneur based in London. Originally from Budapest, Hungary, she began her career in the film and television industry as an actress.
She also honed her skills in physical production and project management while working at Korda Studios and later on training at Farnborough International Studios. Zsófi completed a BA in Film Production in 2023, earning multiple awards for her work as a director, writer, and producer. She is currently studying on the MFA Producing course at the National Film and Television School, graduating in 2028.
When she’s not making films, she’s watching them! Zsófi is drawn to bold filmmaking, provocative stories, and cinema focused on compelling - and, above all, sustainable - narratives. Some of her favourite films include Amélie, Kontroll, and the Back to the Future trilogy.

Ola Mlodzianowska
New Business Development Lead
After over 20 years working in international production, distribution, and business development for Twentieth Century Fox, Sony Television, and Motion Content Group, Ola and her family left the UK and moved to Bali in search of a slower life for the kids and the space to find work with real purpose.
Here, she’s finally able to bring together two things that matter deeply to her: her experience in TV and media, and her lifelong commitment to sustainability. A practical problem-solver and someone who believes the film and TV industry can do better for the planet, she’s also a mum of 2 boys, and when she’s not working or refereeing sibling battles and explaining why they can’t live on pasta alone, you’ll find her with her camera, on her yoga mat, taking walks on the beach, or trying to convince her kids that they really don’t need more plastic toys.
Ola’s favourite film is The Lord Of The Rings.

Liliane Spielmann
Sustainability Cordinator
Liliane Spielmann is a sustainability coordinator with a background in Innovation Management and creative production. Her work bridges environmental strategy and the cultural industries, with experience supporting film and creative projects through measurable, practical sustainability frameworks.
She has worked with BAFTA albert, supporting productions in reducing their environmental impact while maintaining creative integrity. Liliane brings a systems-thinking approach, combining strategic insight with hands-on implementation.
Liliane’s favourite film is A Single Man.

Florence Thompson
Sustainability Cordinator
Growing up in the South West, Florence was brought up in the Lighting department in TV/Film which consequently lit a spark for her creatively. She spent time studying in the Arts at the same time as working her way up in Hospitality/Chefing, which she still acredits her communication values too. Professionally training in Production in her early 20's led to her confidence in this ever dynamic and exciting chosen choice of career paths.
After exploring a multitude of genres in the industry, Florence dived head first into the recently evolving Sustainability department, combining her passions and beliefs that creatives alike can have a tremendous part to play in the sustainable future of the planet and in TV/Film making.
When Florence isn't engrossed in a fantasy book or watching Lord of the Rings for the 500th time, she can be found at a local quiz debating the current football scores or talking about her current fascination topic in ancient history.
'All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us' Gandalf, The Fellowship of the Ring - Florence's favourite ever quote/character and series of literature.
FAQ
What is Leverage Point Entertainment?
Leverage Point Entertainment (LPE) is a boutique sustainability agency specialising in film, television, commercials, and the wider creative industries. We work across the UK and Europe, embedding sustainable practices into productions from greenlight to wrap - not as a box-ticking exercise, but as a strategic, story-driven approach to long-term industry change. Our services range from production sustainability consulting and crew training to strategic advocacy, studio standards, and slate-level policy. Our founder Zsófia Szemerédy has hands-on credits across major productions including Alien: Romulus, Poor Things, and Dune: Prophecy.
What does production sustainability consulting involve?
Our production sustainability consulting service integrates environmental strategy directly into your production workflow from greenlight. That means carbon reporting and certification (albert, Peach Pear Plum, EMA, EcoProd, AdGreen, or whichever standard your production, broadcaster, or funder requires), power planning, green vendor sourcing, sustainable budgeting, transparent communication frameworks, sustainability council meetings, and wrap reporting. We work alongside your production team rather than above it, so sustainability becomes part of how you make the film - not something bolted on at the end.
When in the production process should we bring in sustainability support?
From greenlight - and that is not just a sales line. The highest-impact leverage point in any production is pre-greenlight and early pre-production, when decisions about slate strategy, locations, build materials, transport, and vendors are still open. For production companies, LPE takes a holistic approach: we build on the learnings from each production to improve the next, developing a cumulative strategy that gets stronger over time. Addressing sustainability at slate level - rather than production by production - is where the most meaningful and lasting change happens.
Do you work with commercials and advertising productions?
Yes. LPE provides full-circle sustainability integration for advertising production companies, agencies, and brand service companies. We work on individual commercial productions, but the real value comes from a full company strategy: a holistic approach that builds learnings across your slate and ensures your sustainability credentials are consistent, credible, and improving over time. We complete AdGreen and corporate KPI reports on request, and we advise brands on communicating sustainability credentials both internally and to audiences.
What certifications and standards does LPE work with?
We work with any certification or standard that is relevant to your production, broadcaster requirements, or funder obligations. That includes albert (BAFTA's carbon calculator and certification standard), Peach Pear Plum, EMA Green Seal, EcoProd, AdGreen, and others. We are also signatories of the Creative Industries Pact for Sustainable Action and members of the Sustainable Entertainment Alliance, Green the Bid, and the Equity Green Rider. Our job is to identify which standard creates the most value for your specific project and get you there efficiently.
Why work with LPE rather than hire in-house?
An in-house sustainability manager and an external sustainability agency serve different functions. An on-set sustainability manager implements decisions; LPE helps you make better decisions in the first place - at slate level, policy level, and strategic communications level. Beyond that, LPE brings something an individual hire cannot: streamlined management across multiple productions simultaneously, proprietary frameworks and resources built over years of hands-on work, and the ability to identify the leverage point in any system quickly and efficiently. Our cross-production perspective means your next project benefits from everything we learned on the last one. We also work alongside in-house teams - many clients use both.
Can you help with sustainability funding applications?
Yes - for applicants and for funds themselves. We assist productions and production companies with sustainability sections of funding applications across a range of bodies including the BFI, Eurimages, Northern Ireland Screen, and others as required. We provide the documentation, carbon data, and strategic framing that funders need. We are also happy to work directly with film funds that are developing or refining their sustainability criteria, bringing production-side experience to the conversation.
What education and training does LPE offer?
Education is core to what we do, not an add-on. Our offering scales from one-hour panels to full sixty-hour courses, and everything in between - bespoke in-house company training, lectures, industry expert-in sessions (where we review budgets, scripts, and production materials one-on-one and advise directly), and fully developed standalone courses. We have delivered sessions at institutions including the National Film and Television School, the Screen Institute in Austria, Sarajevo FF, Midpoint, Focal, and others. Whatever format and depth your organisation needs, we can build it.
Do you work on studio standards and industry partnerships?
Yes. LPE works with studios to develop and maintain sustainability standards - from policy frameworks and albert studio certification to bespoke training that keeps teams at the cutting edge. On partnerships: when we find companies and individuals doing excellent work in the sustainability space, we actively collaborate to amplify their reach. If you are working on something that aligns with our mission, we want to hear from you. Margot Maritz, our Project and Marketing Manager, is the point of contact for collaboration enquiries at margot@leveragepointent.com.
How do we get started with LPE?
The best starting point is a conversation. Every production, company, and challenge is different, and we do not offer off-the-shelf packages. Reach out via greenlight@leveragepointent.com with a brief overview of your project or company, and we will come back to you with an honest assessment of where we can add the most value. We work with productions of all sizes, from independent features to major studio projects, and across the UK and Europe.
